"Why can't girls compete with boys?"
Have you ever heard a question like this? What these kinds of questions imply? Do they talk about the rights of females? Probably it is! But in what context? This is an undeniable and morally reprehensible truth. Accordingly, feminism as a movement, in seeking to create equality for women in the social, political, economic, and occupational spheres is laudable. There is no moral reason that a woman should not be allowed to vote, should not have equal access to education and health care, should not make the same amount of money as a man performing the same job, etc.
Look, I have no issue regarding the fact that there is a need to reserve female rights but; Is it necessary to compare it with anything else? Can't we rephrase that sentence and rose a question against why can't girls compete?
The more education I received, the more aware I became, the conversation on feminism changed. Thousands believe in equal rights but finding 'feminism' a suitable word for it doesn't align. Many radical feminists rapidly converged on the erroneous idea that if women are to be treated equally in all walks of life.
We all must have seen the extreme scenario of feminism where women develop an ideological foundation that is anti-male. Apparently, misogyny is reprehensible and evil but misandry is virtuous and laudable.
My notion about feminism is that anyone who is facing issues regarding their rights and reservations should get the opportunity to secure and their rights. The ugly truth is we have all, at some point, been complicit in the oppression of another person. We have all innocently, accidentally oppressed. So, how about being ourselves instead of comparing our lives with others?
